Region 4 Championships Completed

Our regional carnival is finished for another season.  The weather was perfect and the Griffith Centre ran a wonderful carnival for us all.

Congratulations to every athlete who travelled to compete over the weekend.  We are very proud of your hard work, dedication to do the very best you can and the high level of sportsmanship that was displayed at all times.  Multiple athletes from our club qualified for for the State Championships next month and others reached goals and achieved PB’s in multiple events.  A list of qualifiers will be published as soon as we have it.

Many thanks to the Watters family for transporting our shade tent.  We really appreciate it!

Thank you to all of the parents who did their part by driving all that way, supporting their children and fulfilling duties at Discus and High Jump.  We couldn’t make it work without you all.

A GIANT thank you and shout out to our club coach, Don Hodgekiss.  He did a fantastic job supporting our team and ensuring they were ready to compete.  We are lucky to have such a kind and positive coach at our club.

Finally, thank you to our Committee who helped to make sure duties were filled, questions were answered and looked after our team.

Enjoy your week and we look forward to our next club night on Friday.  See you all there!

Kiama Little Athletics Centre was formed in 1979.
It was the 114th Little Athletics Centre registered with sportsfield-statusLittle Athletics NSW.
We cater for children as young as 3 in Tiny Tots and Age Groups range from U/6 to U/17.
The Little Athletics season commences in September and concludes in March.
Our weekly competitions are held at the Kiama Sports Complex, Havilah Place, Kiama.  Due to the lack of adequate lighting the first five weeks are held from 9:00am on Saturday mornings.  Shortly after Daylight Saving commences competition moves to 5:30pm Friday evenings.  Over the years a dedicated group of people have worked tirelessly to provide the equipment and facilities that are available for the athletes to enjoy.  The Committee members are all volunteers with an active interest in promoting Little Athletics within the local community.  We encourage all athletes to compete at Carnivals run by other Centres.  Coming events will be advertised on this website as well as on the noticeboard during Competition.
Adverse Weather Announcements
In the event of adverse weather conditions a decision will be made at 4:00pm where possible.  Check this website or our “Kiama Little Athletics” Facebook page for updates.  An announcement will also be made on local radio stations i98fm and Wave FM, where time permits, after a decision has been made.
