Region 4 Littles State Qualifier Carnival

As a consequence of COVID-19 and associated public health orders the structure of Little Athletics NSW (LANSW) Championships has been altered this season.  Unfortunately, the traditional Zone and Region Championships will not be conducted.  Further, the State Track And Field Championships will be conducted over two (2) weekends. The first weekend will be the Littles (Under 9 to Under 12) State Championships and the second will be the Youth (Under 13 to Under 17) State Championships.  These carnivals are scheduled for the 20th/21st March 2021 and 27th/28th March 2021 respectively and will be held at Sydney Olympic Park.

Each Region will conduct a Littles State Qualifier Carnival early in the new year.  The Kiama Centre is part of Region 4 and our Littles State Qualifier Carnival will be held at Jubilee Park, Wagga Wagga on the 6th/7th February 2021.

All athletes in the Under 9 to Under 12 Age Groups are entitled to enter up to four (4) events at this Carnival.  Qualifying Marks have been determined and athletes who achieve these marks are eligible to be considered to attend.  The Qualifying Marks are able to be achieved at our Centre, another Centre or any Gala Day/Meet hosted in a Zone and Region in NSW in the 2020/2021 season.  The selection process will be confirmed based on the Public Health Order and LANSW is working with the Office of Sport to understand what the limits may be at this time.

The entry form, including Qualifying Marks, is available here.  Kiama’s entries close at 5:00pm on Friday 18 December 2020.  Entries may be hand delivered to the Canteen at a Friday meet or via email to lakiama@hotmail.com.

LANSW will advise which athletes have been successful in qualifying for this Carnival by 15th January 2021.

Details relating to the Youth (Under 13 to Under 17) State Championships qualifying process will be published as soon as they are released by LANSW.
