Kiama Little Athletics 2025-26 season continued today on a beautiful Spring morning.
It was terrific to see so many new faces joining Little Athletics for the first time. Today was our second and final “Orientation Day” designed to give athletes and parents the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the various events. It also gave the parent helpers a chance to learn how to measure, record and assist at events.
Point score competition commences next Saturday so make sure you are there at 9:00am sharp!
Don’t forget that the aim of the Centre’s point score is to encourage all athletes to improve their own personal best efforts. It does not award points for winning but for improving.
It’s not too late to join in the fun and bring your kids along. We will continue to take registrations during the season but ask that you arrive half an hour prior to the scheduled start time.
Please note that all registrations must be completed online this season.
If you are interested in joining us register online and visit Kiama Sports Complex around 8:30am on Saturday morning to complete the registration process. Please ensure that you bring your invoice with you. Uniforms can also be purchased at this time.

Kiama Little Athletics’ 2024-2025 season came to a conclusion on Friday, April 4 with the annual presentation at Kiama Rugby Club.
The Centre’s highest accolade is the Dean Blair Memorial Trophy which is presented to the athlete who attains the highest level of improvement throughout the season.
This year’s winner was 12’s athlete Nate Blazic. In second place was Pippa Harris (6’s) and in third place was Archie Turano Lyall (12’s).
Dean Blair was a member of Kiama Little Athletics Centre in the 1980 season, joining at the age of nine. In just three months Dean broke 15 records, a testimony to his natural ability. Tragically Dean died in December 1980 as a result of a playground accident at school. The perpetual trophy was struck in Dean’s memory.
Archie Turano Lyall (12’s) received the Don Hodgekiss Award for best performance at Zone, Region and State.
10’s athlete Torin Pooley was the recipient of the Coaches Most Improved Award.
The Centre’s annual general meeting was held after the Presentation at Kiama Rugby Club. We are very pleased to report that all Committee positions were filled by an enthusiastic group of eager volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone that helped throughout the season. It’s amazing to see such strong support for the Centre, and it’s exciting to have so many new faces joining the Committee to help it continue to thrive. Thank you!

Dean Blair Memorial Trophy Winner, Nate Blazic

The Centre needs new Committee members to ensure it remains viable and to ultimately guarantee Little Athletics will continue in Kiama come September. The AGM commences at 6:00pm on Friday 4th April at Kiama Rugby Club. Please come and join us.
